Yes, it’s true! The US dollar bill provides the origin for the name “Thierica”. When the Szczepanski brothers, Ted and Harry, founded the company in 1945 they were looking for a unique name. Both brothers had served in WWII and wanted to use “The United States” as part of the company name. While folding a dollar bill the brothers came up with the name “Thierica” from the heading across the top of the dollar that reads “The United States of America”. When folded in just the right way the heading becomes “Thierica”.
