Thierica de Mexico is located in Monterrey, Mexico. On July 1, 2010, the after-affects of Hurricane Alex hit Monterrey with severe flooding. Mexican President Felipe Calderon declared a state of emergency and Monterrey a disaster area. While our plant was spared, the devastation is wide-spread and dramatic. With the mountainous terrain and rocky ground the water tore through the town with great force destroying or burying everything in its path.

Ever wonder how they put those little emblems on the buttons and knobs in your car? This video shows part of the process. The buttons are first painted then layers of paint are lasered away until you have markings that can then be "back lit" so you can see them at night. It may not capture the attention of today's "video game" generation but those of us who grew up with toy trains think this is "really cool"!
